🏒 A Weekend to Remember: 2026 Cormick Cup Recap

What an incredible weekend of hockey! From January 2nd through the 4th, our community came together for the 2026 Cormick Cup (click to view recap). Played in memory of longtime Capitals player Cormick Scanlan, this tournament continues to be the heart of our season, celebrating passion, sportsmanship, and the spirit of the game.

Across all four levels, the competition was fierce and the atmosphere at the rinks was electric. Here is your official recap of the 2026 Cormick Cup:

Squirt A

The top bracket featured high-intensity matchups, with the Andover Huskies taking the title in a hard-fought battle against our home team.

Champions: Andover

Runner-up: St. Paul Capitals

Third Place: Roseville

Consolation Winner: Mahtomedi

Capitals Highlight: The Squirt A Capitals played inspired hockey all weekend, earning their way into the championship game and taking home the Runner-up trophy after a hard fought game + OT.

Squirt B1

The B1 level saw a dramatic finish, with the Roseville Raiders emerging as the tournament victors.

Champions: Roseville

Runner-up: Eagan

Third Place: Bloomington Jefferson

Consolation Winner: Buffalo

Capitals Highlight: The Squirt B1 Capitals faced a gauntlet of tough opponents, finishing the weekend with a strong showing in the third-place game against Bloomington Jefferson.

Squirt B2

The B2 bracket was a showcase of depth and talent, with Edina Black ultimately taking the championship.

Champions: Edina Black

Runner-up: Stillwater Black

Third Place: St. Paul Capitals Red

Consolation Winner: Eagan

Capitals Highlight: Capitals B2 Red stood tall on Sunday to secure Third Place in a thrilling OT victory!

Squirt C

The Squirt C division was a goal-scoring showcase, ending with Edina White at the top of the podium.

Champions: Edina White

Runner-up: Stillwater Black

Third Place: Buffalo Purple

Consolation Winner: Lakeville North Black

Capitals Highlight: The Squirt C Capitals encountered a truly challenging set of games this weekend, taking on some very skilled opponents. Even through tough matchups, their commitment to playing and being part of the event helped create the energetic atmosphere that makes the Cormick Cup so special.
