St. Paul Capitals Annual Raffle Fundraiser: All You Need to Know!
Drawing: Sunday, January 4th at 2:00 PM at Green Mill - St. Paul
Our annual fundraiser is essential for keeping hockey affordable and accessible for all our St. Paul Capitals Hockey Association families. Your support directly contributes to critical needs like ice time, equipment, and program development. This season, our sole fundraiser is a raffle, and we truly appreciate everyone's participation!
Mandatory Participation & Buyout Option
- Your Commitment: Every family registered with St. Paul Capitals (including Saints families associated with us) is required to sell 20 raffle tickets at $10 each. This is a mandatory fundraiser.
- Buyout Option: If selling tickets isn't feasible, you may opt for a $250 buyout fee.
- If you choose the buyout and did not pay during registration, please mail a check to: SPCHA, PO BOX 16382, St. Paul, MN 55116
- Important: Families who do not sell their tickets AND do not submit the buyout fee will have their credit card on file charged $250 + a $25 admin/transaction fee at the end of the season.
Raffle & Top Seller Prizes
We have exciting incentives for both raffle participants and our top sellers!
- Raffle Grand Prizes: There will be 8 cash prize raffle winners!
- 2 winners will receive $1,499 each!
- 6 winners will receive $1,000 each!
- Top 5 Seller Awards: The top 5 players who sell the most tickets will each receive a $350 gift card to either Pure Hockey or Mall of America!
- Ticket Sales & Payment: You are responsible for collecting $10 cash for each ticket you sell. While your customers (like Aunt Judy!) can pay you via check, Venmo, etc., you must submit cash to SPCHA for your sold tickets.
Key Deadlines & Dates
We've offered some previous opportunities to pick up tickets on both at the rink and Zamboni's on 7th, but time is now running out!
Your last chance to turn in CASH, sold, and unsold raffle ticket stubs is tomorrow, Friday, January 2nd at Highland Arena from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM.
There will be limited raffle ticket packs available for CASH purchase during this time as well. All stubs (including those from newly purchased packs) are due by 8:00 PM on January 2nd.
This is the final deadline before the raffle drawing and top seller announcement on Sunday, January 4th at 2:00 PM at Green Mill - St. Paul.
Help Your Player Win & Complete Your Season Obligation! Every family must participate in our fundraiser by selling at least one pack of tickets (20 tickets at $10 each) or choosing the $250 buyout.
By submitting your cash and ticket stubs on time:
- Your player earns credit toward the Top Seller Prize.
- Your buyers are officially entered into the raffle drawing.
- Your family fulfills the participation requirement.
Note: If cash or stubs for at least one pack are not received by the deadline, the $250 buyout will be applied (click here for details).
Important: You are responsible for any lost or stolen tickets. Ticket stubs not returned by this deadline will not be entered into the drawing.

Raffle Drawing: The raffle winners will be drawn on Sunday, January 4th at 2:00 PM at Green Mill - St. Paul.
Top Seller Announcement: The top 5 sellers will also be announced immediately after the raffle winner drawing on January 4th.
