12U B1 take on the Shannon cup

Our 12U B1 team took home the 3rd place trophy in the Rochester Shannon Cup 12UB Tournament.  The squad triumphed in 3 of the 4 games they played, and bested Eagan Blue B1 8-2 in the 3rd Place game.

It was another great showing by this team who have been working hard all season. In fact, they are already the regular season champs in 12U B1 for District 2 and will be the #1 seed in the District tourney! This team is 8-1-2 in District play and still have 1 more D2 game left. Keep it up, girls!

The Shannon tournament is named after Shannon O’Hara. At the age of 12, Shannon was diagnosed with a brainstem glioma tumor (DIPG). This was a terminal diagnosis. Shannon fought her nine month battle with determination and grace until passing away on January 6, 2012. A foundation was setup to support brain cancer research. Find out more here
